Okay, so I'm not REALLY a corn goddess. That was a joke. ha!ha!No. I teach college English and will occasionally hobnob with other Anguish teachers, comparing notes and such. Okay, okay, we talk pedagogy 7% and bitch about students 93%.Not long ago, my friend J., who teaches at a certain online university, sent me a copy of an amazing essay a student had turned in to him and--mon Dieu!--I thought *I* had received some really bad student writing, but this essay totally eclipses anything I've seen. Not only is the writer (whom I don't know and who will remain anonymous) an incredibly poor writer, but the "thought" processes that generated this kind of dreck are terrifying. So why should we care that some people are narrow-minded and can't think? Because they vote, and, in my opinion, it is exactly this kind of pseudo-religious bullshit thinking that has gotten us into many of the current messes we're in now.So without further ado, I'd like to introduce to you the worst essay I've ever read. (Incidentally, unbeknowst to this writer, her teacher and my friend J is gay, and he and his partner have an adopted biracial son).Gay Marriages
One day there was a young lady in the hospital; on the maternity ward. Next to
her there stands a young man. Hand in hand they were both experiencing the joys of
having a baby. This joy brought them a baby; together they both learnt to take care of a
baby. Can same sex marriages experience the beauty of bringing a baby into the world?
No, because we were created to be with the opposite sex, to enjoy and experience the
differences in sexes. Marriages should only be between a man and a woman, not of the
same sex. In this writing I will be referring to if and why gay marriages should be
legalize. Also, how will children react to the situation, when raised in an environment
with gay couples. Will these marriages be accepted in society, what will be the
reactions? The world was already created when we came into it, how can it change?
Surely you are REELING already from the "logic" herein. But it gets oh-so-much better!
What is the true meaning of marriage? I believe that the true meaning of marriage
is when a man and a woman becomes one in the sight of God and the law. It can also be
defined when a man and a woman exchanges vows and signs a contract. I visited the
Merriam-Webster Online within this site, I have learnt that there are different types of
marriages. These may include celestial, civil, common-law, marriage of convenience,
mixed, open, proxy, shotgun and marriages. Within this site celestial marriage is “a
special order of Mormon marriage solemnized in a Mormon temple and held to be
binding for a future life as well as the present one”. The civil is “a marriage performed
by a magistrate”. “A marriage recognized in some jurisdictions and based on the parties’
agreement to consider themselves married and sometimes also on their cohabitation” is
called a common-law marriage. Marriage of convenience is “a marriage contracted for
social, political, or economic advantage rather than mutual affection”. “A marriage
between persons of different races or religion” is considered to be a mixed marriage. An
open marriage is “a marriage in which the partners agree to let each other have sexual
partners outside the marriage”. “A marriage celebrated in the absence of one of the
contracting parties who is represented at the ceremony by a proxy” this is called a proxy
marriage. A shotgun marriage is “a marriage forced or required because of pregnancy”.
Lastly, a marriage was defined as “the state of being united to a person of the opposite
sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law”.
The marriage I will be referring on is the marriage.
I'm glad the focus here has been made crystal clear: so important when arguing an emotional issue such as this. Get everyone on the same page. And what BETTER source for reliability on moral matters than Webster's Online Dictionary?
What is the institution of marriage? The institution of marriage is to protect
families; this will include man, woman and child/children. I reviewed marriage debates
site it has stated that “Marriage also offers men and women as spouses a good they can
have in no other way: a mutual and complete giving of the self. Thus, marriage
understood as the enduring union of husband and wife is both a good in itself and also
advances the public interest”.
Well! There we have it! NO GAYS ALLOWED as gays surely have no business participating in "public interest." This idea, of course, provides an incredibly smooth seque into the next logical sequence in thought, namely ---->
Gay marriages should not be allowed. When ever this becomes legal it will
change the whole world. We are used to living knowing that it is always a man and a
woman who gets marry. These marriages should not be legalized. Seeing, a man and a
woman married; has been taught from upbringing, this is been instilled in our children
today. It is wise to maintain the values that were taught to us by our parents and
grandparents.
Surely we don't need to list any of the NEGATIVE "values" previous generations espoused, many members of whom took racism for granted or held women back from any achievement that did not involve cooking, cleaning, fucking, and birthing.
With this in mind, it will be a good remembrance of them; we should
continue the trend. I found an interesting reading title; A Rising Star, Out of the Blue.
Alter, gave some inside information about Romney. He knows vital information because
they were both presidential candidates. It states that Romney is all for legalizing gay
marriages. This conclusion arrived because, when campaigning every one agrees with
what they think will gain an extra vote. I disagree, everyone should have a mind of their
own; it should not matter about political when it comes to people’s personal lives.
Riiiight, as long as everyone agrees with YOU, right?I also visited the atheism sites and there Austin talked about; legalizing gay marries will harm
marriages in general. Austin has some interesting points, however not sure how he
arrived with this conclusion. Personally, I have to agree.
Is this RICH, or what? Never mind the reasons or logic behind the conclusion! I agree!
How can anyone else's marriage, good or bad, affect my own? If bad marriages (gay or straight) are contagious, I'd've been long ago divorced.These marriages will cause people to question them selves. I’ve always been attracted to the
opposite sex, I wonder is it’s right. Cline also stated that it will undermine the institution of
marriages. What will then happen to regular marriages? This will encourage people to lie.
Excuses will
be made when someone does not want to be with that person any more. Why isn’t gay
marriages been accepted in the federal law? This is because it should not be legalize.

Union”. Why one would want to marry a same sex and cannot get any benefits. After
reading; this is a major reason why gay marriages should not be legalized.

How will children react to gay marriages? We are used to living knowing that it
is always a man and a woman who gets marry. They are the only ones who can produce
children which will cause the world to always have a future generation. Same sex
marriages cannot produce children; therefore we will have no future generation. Without
no future generation, the world will be full of elder persons. When all the elderly are
gone, the world will be empty. Growing children will be confuse; this will be a major
change for them to deal with. Children may think that things have changed and that this
is now the correct way of life. Who is mommy; who is daddy? What will be the
explanation? Kids may be taught; whomever you will like it to be. This is not the way to
raise children. There will be children at school, saying mommy is going to pick me up
today. These kids will be even more confused. What if the same sex marriages is raising
a child of a different sex; which restroom will they go? After everyone is now grow;
what will become of the future? Family entertainment will not include children. Sports
and games will be based on experience and advanced. Children’s entertainers will then
have no jobs. The clowns will not be needed for birthday parties. There will be no need
for children’s doctors and dentists. Doctors will no mare have school immunizations and
paper work to fill for students entering schools. Experiencing baby’s first step and taking
of pictures, will be no more. What about the first words; that are usually dada. Can you
image life without children? No, it will be so boring, and everyone will be adults.
Teachers will have no children to teach. Various person within the community will be
out of jobs. Companies will be out of business. What will happen to all those persons?
Are they going to eat; how will they eat? Stealing will increase, crimes will also
increase. People will be turning to anything and everything just to eat. How will their
bills get paid? Persons will be on the streets begging; this will add to those already there.
This one error will cause the whole world to change. These changes will not be good for
the world or the economy. The people who live is the one’s that will feel all the pain.
Living in a world such as this; can make living just for living. Adoption is not the same
as having your own.
Any adoptees out there? Feeling all warm and fuzzy yet? Too bad you're reduced to living just for living.
How will society accept persons who are married to the same sex? The norm of
life will change and also our daily lifestyles. For most families today, their daily routine
includes children. Whether it may be to pick up or drop off, or visit. this will also
change the beliefs of some people. Legalizing gay marriages will also changes the
values of life that has been taught. Values may include religion. When there is a break
down in families, this changes customs, religion, values and cultures. This can led to
legalizing all marriages; marriages to whom ever and what one may chose. I reviewed
Craig’s list on the site which stated; that if gays were allowed to get married straight
marriages would be less meaningful.

Toby stated on his site that gays should not get marry because it will eliminate the spread of
aids.
Uh....WHAT??? And then look at the quote that follows. Could this writer explain what this means if it bit her on the ass? It appears to be meant as an argument bolster.....?
Toby also stated; “Gay love and sex is
seeing in one’s self in one’s partner that is, seeing that one’s partner is an
expression and manifestation of consciousness just as one is oneself”.
And just when you think this jumbled harangue is nearly over, she musters up a new head of steam!!
How were we created? God created one woman and one man. We were not
created as man and man or woman and woman. When we were created if we were
supposed be with same sex; we would have known. Christian answers stated “But for
Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep
to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought
her to the man”. Christian answers got their source from the Bible. They also used the King
James Version. I agree the Bible is truth.
With all these different reasons that can change society, gay marriages should not
be allowed. Gay marriages should not be allowed due to the significant impact it will
have on our society. This will not only change society, but; in turn change our personal
life. This include our work related and social activities.
